2008-2009 Past Performances:
August 2008- Festival Opera
Ani made her debut with Festival Opera of Walnut Creek in the role of Tytania from Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Conducted and directed by Michael Morgan.
November 2008- Atlanta Opera
Ani made her mainstage debut with Atlanta Opera in the role of Clorinda from Rossini’s La Cenerentola. Cast includes Metropolitan Opera Stars Jennifer Larmore, Nicholas Phan, Hugh Russell, and Peter Strummer.
January 2009- Long Beach Opera
Ani returned to Long Beach Opera for a third season, as the title role in the new production of The Cunning Little Vixen by Janacek. Conducted by Andreas Mitisek; Directed by Ken Cazan.
March 2009- Opera Santa Barbara
Ani made her mainstage debut with Opera Santa Barbara in the role of Valencienne from Lehar’s The Merry Widow. Conducted by Valery Ryvkin; Directed by Yefim Maizel
April 2009- Center Stage Opera
Ani joined Center Stage Opera in their spring recital, singing a set of Armenian songs. Fellow singers include Shira Renee Thomas, Eric Carampatan, among others.
May 2009- Solo Recital
Ani Maldjian in Recital with the Armenian Church of Santa Barbara. Proceeds go to the Armenian Church of SB.
