Ani makes her mainstage debut with Atlanta Opera in the role of Clorinda from Rossini’s La Cenerentola. Cast includes Metropolitan Opera Stars Jennifer Larmore, Nicholas Phan, Hugh Russell, and Peter Strummer.

January 2009- Long Beach Opera

Ani returns to Long Beach Opera for a third season, as the title role in the new production of The Cunning Little Vixen by Janacek. Conducted by Andreas Mitisek; Directed by Ken Cazan.

January 2008 – International Debut
 
Maldjian makes her INTERNATIONAL DEBUT in the European premiere (in Athens, Greece) of Light from the Cross, a piece for soprano and orchestra, written by Greek composer Christos Hatzis. She will perform with the Camerata-Friends of Music Orchestra at the new Athens Concert Hall, the Megaron. Conducted by Alexander Myrat.

February 2008- Seattle Opera Young Artist Program
The Seattle Young Artists go on tour all across the state of Washington, performing an adaptation of Wagner’s Das Rheingold. Maldjian sings the roles of Woglinde and Freia.

May 2008- Seattle Opera and AGBU/LARK
1) Ani will create the role of young Amelia in Seattle Opera’s world premiere workshop performance of Amelia. Directed by Stephen Wadsworth.

2) Ani will create the title role of Tchouhadjian’s Zemire at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Directed by Krikor Satamian and conducted by Vatsche Barsoumian.
This production will be the US Premiere and is a continuation of the AGBA/LARK collaboration of Tchouhadjian’s four operettas. Zvart was premiered in 2003 and Leblebiji Hor Hor Agha was premiered in 2004, both featuring Ani Maldjian as the lead female roles.

June 2008- Long Beach Opera
 
Due to popular demand, "The Diary of Anne Frank" returns to Long Beach Opera! This one-woman production with Maldjian received critical acclaim by all the major newspapers in Southern California and Austin, TX (see "reviews" on toolbar above).

1) Ani joins three other artists in two concerts in Ketchum, Idaho. Presented by Sun Valley Opera. Concert includes operatic arias/duets and Broadway/popular songs.
